About the role
GE HealthCare is seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer to join the Software Builder Tools (SBT) team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategy, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence of the software development platforms used across GE HealthCare engineering organizations.
What you'll do
- Lead the architectural design and evolution of highly scalable, secure, and performant software tools for healthcare product development teams
- Define and document architectural principles, patterns, and best practices that guide development teams in building robust and maintainable software
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet project requirements and align with long-term strategic goals
- Collaborate closely with product management, engineering leadership, and other architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Drive initiatives for technical debt reduction, system optimization, and performance tuning
