About the role
As Senior Consultant - Logistics, you will serve as a key logistics partner for General Mills' External Supply Chain organization, supporting approximately 150 external manufacturing sites across their operating lifecycle. You will help ensure reliable planning and logistics execution by resolving issues, managing escalations, strengthening site capability, and coordinating with Manufacturing, Logistics, technical teams, and other supply chain partners.
What you'll do
- Act as the first point of contact for planning and logistics issues across external manufacturing sites and warehouses; coordinate timely resolution of escalations
- Partner with Manufacturing and Logistics teams to support day-to-day site execution, operating reviews, schedule troubleshooting, and performance follow-up
- Monitor production posting, order sequencing, and age-database compliance; identify gaps and provide targeted support to improve adherence
- Support external site start-ups, transitions, exits, and other readiness activities to enable smooth operations
- Onboard and train sites on planning systems, age management, and related business processes; provide ongoing coaching and troubleshooting
