What you'll do
- Select and evaluate aerospace materials such as titanium, aluminum/aluminum-lithium, high-strength steels, nickel alloys, and advanced materials based on performance
- Develop and execute material characterization and qualification programs, including A/B-basis design allowable and mechanical, fatigue, fracture, creep
- Conduct metallurgical evaluations and failure investigations for material/process non-conformances, production issues, test anomalies, and in-service failures
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, AMS/ASTM specifications, AS9100, Nadcap, FAA, and customer requirements; support AMPL governance and audits
- Provide technical guidance to Design, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supplier Engineering teams and resolve material/process compliance issues
