Software Engineering Managers have not only the technical expertise to take on and provide technical leadership to major projects, but also manage a team of Engineers. You not only optimize your own code but make sure Engineers are able to optimize theirs.
What you'll do
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Software Engineers. Perform talent reviews, ensure growth opportunities exist for top talent, and build a healthy team culture
- Exercise the technical judgment and decision-making expected of Staff-level engineers to guide system architecture and design
- Ensure technical decisions are made promptly and risks are proactively managed to unblock engineers
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders from Product, Program, Payments Compliance and Export Legal teams to develop new capabilities
- Manage the infrastructure for Sanctions platform, ensuring robustness, scalability, and reliability while actively addressing technical debt
