Test Engineer III

About the role

That thinking is at the core of how we approach testing at Google. Unlike roles with similar names at the other companies, Test Engineers at Google aren't manual testers -- you write scripts to automate testing and create tools so developers can test their own code. As a Test Engineer, you navigate Google's massive codebase, identify weak spots and constantly design better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and comprehensive test suites for software features
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to integrate testing early in the development lifecycle and identify potential defects
• Analyze complex software systems to build comprehensive test strategies and plans
• Drive continuous improvement in our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and testing infrastructure to boost engineering velocity and product…
• Investigate test failures, diagnose root causes, and advocate for quality and engineering best practices across the team
