About the role
We are seeking a Senior Principal Engineer – eCommerce to lead engineering delivery for GSK Direct, GSK's B2B eCommerce platform that enables healthcare professionals to purchase GSK vaccines and pharmaceuticals in the US and international markets. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role: you will manage the vendor technical leads and drive a multi-disciplinary DevOps team of SAP Commerce Cloud, Composable Storefront, UI, and QA engineers.
What you'll do
- Engineering Leadership & Platform Ownership
- Serve as the design authority for commerce solutions, approving designs across OCC APIs, B2B commerce (company accounts, customer-specific catalogs and pricing
- Make build-vs-configure decisions that favor out-of-the-box SAP capabilities, reduce technical debt, and keep the platform upgrade-ready
- Implement and enforce ITMS (IT Management System) controls, ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and operational excellence in a regulated environment
