IND Staff Engineer, Infrastructure - Linux Platform Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer to serve in our Compute Chapter supporting Linux Platforms. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in Linux administration, OS hardening, patching, performance tuning, automation, and enterprise platform operations across a large scale environment.

What you'll do

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems across private and public cloud environments
• Manage system lifecycle activities including provisioning, patching, upgrades, technology currency, and decommissioning
• Monitor Linux platform health, performance, availability, and capacity through automation and enhanced observability capabilities
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Linux platform incidents and recurring problems
• Implement Linux security hardening and compliance standards including CIS benchmark alignment where applicable
