About the role
Pearson is hiring two Software Engineering Team Managers in India through one recruitment campaign. The roles share a common leadership profile but support different product areas: Vue Testing Services (VTS) and Test Delivery. VTS supports services around a candidate’s assessment journey, including registration, payment and score reporting.
What you'll do
- Hire, onboard, coach, develop and retain engineers and technical professionals
- Set clear goals, feedback rhythms, development plans and team operating practices
- Translate product and department priorities into achievable team plans, capacity choices and ownership
- Track sprint and release progress, dependencies, blockers, defects, quality and immediate delivery risks
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Quality Engineering, DevOps, Security, Operations and business stakeholders
