About the role
A Backup & Storage Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise backup, recovery, and storage solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. The role focuses on ensuring data availability, protection, disaster recovery readiness, and efficient storage management in hybrid cloud infrastructures.
What you'll do
- Administer and maintain enterprise backup solutions across on-premises and cloud platforms
- Configure, monitor, and optimize backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes
- Manage storage infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, object storage, and cloud storage services
- Ensure backup success rates and perform periodic recovery testing
- Implement and maintain data retention, archival, and compliance policies
