About the role

The team is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the MMC IBMi server estate. In addition, they manage the supporting infrastructure attached to the IBMi including the HMC, storage and some tape libraries. Activities included are (but not limited to): patching, capacity management, server maintenance, backup management, performance management, security, audit compliance, disaster recovery, server commissioning and decommissioning.

What you'll do

• The team is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the MMC IBMi server estate
• In addition, they manage the supporting infrastructure attached to the IBMi including the HMC, storage and some tape libraries
• Activities included are (but not limited to): patching, capacity management, server maintenance, backup management, performance management, security, audit compliance
• The applicant will design and implement solutions to improve and consolidate the IBMi estate and supporting infrastructure
• This would involve keeping abreast with latest technology advances IBMi Server Operations Support Roles: - Incident Management for IBMi - Problem Management for IBMi
