About the role
Provide technical leadership across the software lifecycle, uplift engineering standards and help the squad turn complex business problems into simple, supportable solutions.
What you'll do
- Own all aspects of the SDLC, including analysis, estimation, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, production support, maintenance and optimisation
- Design, build and maintain Python services, REST APIs, event-driven components and microservices; contribute to TypeScript / Node.js services and integration layers
- Engineer agentic AI solutions that use large language models, tools and enterprise data responsibly, with clear guardrails, human oversight, evaluation
- Drive pragmatic, fit-for-purpose solutions of high technical quality and act as a quality advocate for the squad, preferring defect prevention and fast feedback
- Coach and guide software engineers through design reviews, pairing, code reviews and technical problem solving
