About the role
Design Within Reach is looking for an Inventory/GL Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. In this role, you will support the accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP, including financial reporting, account reconciliations, analysis, and subsidiary ledger maintenance.
What you'll do
- Maintain SOX controls and processes related to inventory & COGS
- Prepare monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals for inventory, COGS, inventory movement, shrink, and inventory in-transit
- Cross train on other GL and AP functions
- Prepare and validate the following: Physical inventory counts
- Review daily inventory activity
