About the role
Primarily responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, and cost plans at various design stages, while supporting tendering, value engineering, and cost estimation activities. The position also assists in selected post-contract commercial tasks, ensuring cost accuracy, compliance with applicable standards, and effective coordination with project stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, and cost plans at various design stages, while supporting tendering, value engineering
- Use software tools (e.g., CostX, AutoCAD) for quantity take-off, summarize quantities, and transfer data into BOQs or cost plans, including carrying out bulk checks
- Draft or validate Bills of Quantities, including carrying out bulk checks
- Prepare cost plans at different design stages including Concept, Schematic, and Design Development
- Analyse and adjust unit rates, price BOQ items, collect market quotations, and assist in tender estimates and cost plan reporting
