The Incoming Quality Engineer at Hitachi, Ltd. is responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming materials and components used in our manufacturing processes. This role plays a critical part in preventing defects, minimizing rework, and maintaining the high standards of Hitachi products.
What you'll do
- Responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming materials and components used in our manufacturing processes
- Develop, implement, and maintain incoming quality inspection plans and procedures based on engineering specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements
- Perform thorough inspections and tests on incoming raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies to verify adherence to quality standards and specifications
- Identify, document, and investigate non-conforming materials, initiating appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement supplier quality improvement programs, and conduct supplier audits as needed
