About the role
Within Hitachi Energy Power Conversion Solutions, you will join a global, cross functional organization developing and industrializing high-power conversion platforms for renewable energy and energy storage applications. As Medium Voltage Electrical Engineer, you will own the electrical design and integration of medium voltage skid solutions that interface with our power converters.
What you'll do
- Own the electrical design and integration of medium-voltage skid solutions interfacing with power conversion equipment
- Define single-line diagrams, schematics, protection concepts, earthing, auxiliary systems, cabling and interfaces
- Perform and document short-circuit, cable, grounding, thermal and protection-coordination calculations
- Coordinate mechanical layout, cooling, access, transport, installation and maintainability interfaces with other disciplines
- Support prototype and pilot builds, factory acceptance tests, site commissioning and root-cause investigations
