About the role
In the HPE Hybrid Cloud , we lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. This includes managing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Networking Specialist to join our team focused on software solutions for our VM Essentials customers.
What you'll do
- Define scalable interfaces and programming models across configuration, control, and data planes for routes, next hops, interfaces, VRFs, bridge domains, MAC/IP entries
- Design state synchronization, reconciliation, reconnect, warm-restart, upgrade
- Extend EVPN, VLAN, VXLAN, MPLS, IPv4/IPv6, bridging, MAC/IP learning, integrated routing and bridging, multi-homing, BUM forwarding, and overlay/underlay capabilities
- Optimize packet processing with DPDK, Linux networking, SR--IOV, hardware acceleration and interfaces such as veth, virtio, vhost-user, and TAP/TUN
- Improve throughput, latency, CPU and memory efficiency, and route, MAC, flow, tunnel, and compute-node scale
