About the role
Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.
What you'll do
- Designs, develops, enhances, and maintains software components and subsystems related to platform engineering, system software, operating systems, networking
- Analyzes technical requirements and determines coding, programming, integration, and testing activities based on product architecture and design objectives
- Collaborates with hardware and platform engineering teams to understand hardware compatibility, system-level functionality, and integration requirements
- Performs debugging, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex software and platform-related issues
- Develops and executes test plans, validation protocols, and automation scripts to ensure reliability, performance, and quality of software and platform components
