About the role
As an Engineering Manager you’ll balance technical oversight and people management with strategic team leadership, to ensure best practices around software development. You will be responsible for the wellbeing and ongoing professional development of the engineers within your team, supporting individuals, and enhancing project development through the excellence of those in your team.
What you'll do
- Complete Performance Reviews and 1:1s for your reports
- Collect feedback and translate it into constructive input for your reports
- Manage, coach and mentor your reports, supporting their development and career progression
- Represent your engineering team in meta-level discussions such as team structure, wellbeing, and professional development
- Lead a cross-functional squad, setting clear goals and creating a culture of accountability
