About the role
The Head of Cloud Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of all cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role ensures the reliability, security, scalability, and performance of the company's cloud environment, driving operational excellence and cost-efficiency.
What you'll do
- Develop and Execute Strategy: Define and lead the long-term cloud operations strategy, roadmap, and architecture (e.g., multi-cloud
- Ensure reliability of mission-critical apps by meeting/exceeding SLOs & SLAs
- Drive automation through Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for provisioning, deployment, monitoring and scaling
- Implement robust observability with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and Datadog for real-time system health
- Lead incident response, post-mortems and remediation to minimize disruptions
