About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Manager with 5–10 years of hands-on experience in the design, engineering, techno-commercial evaluation, and cost estimation of BESS solutions in India.
What you'll do
- Lead technical and financial feasibility assessments for BESS deployments integrated with solar, wind, or hybrid renewable energy projects
- Drive battery sizing optimization based on project needs—such as peak shifting, load smoothing, frequency regulation, or energy arbitrage
- Prepare and validate cost estimates including CAPEX, OPEX, EPC costs, commissioning, and lifecycle expenses
- Develop Levelized Cost of Storage (LCOS) models for multiple BESS architectures (e.g., centralized vs distributed)
- Conduct system design using modelling tools, ensuring compliance with performance requirements and cost effectiveness
