About the role
Job Purpose The New York Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE), presents a unique opportunity for a full-time hands-on Manager of Engineering to lead an engineering team responsible for trading systems development in a high throughput, low latency trading environment. This role carries ownership of the design and delivery of key components powering NYSE Equity and Options markets on the Pillar platform.
What you'll do
- Architecture & Design Participate in system design decisions for assigned platform components, ensuring high performance, high availability, and high throughput
- Contribute to the technical roadmap in partnership with senior engineering leadership
- Evaluate new technologies and techniques to improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and individual contributors, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration
- Support hiring, onboarding, and retention of engineering talent; manage career development and performance reviews for direct reports
