About the role
Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer with strong experience in avionics-based product development to lead the end-to-end design and integration of advanced analog / power electronics systems. This role supports aerospace and urban air mobility programs and demands deep technical expertise, systems-level thinking, and leadership capability.
What you'll do
- Lead the end-to-end development and system integration of advanced power electronics hardware for aerospace and urban air mobility applications
- Define hardware specifications and requirements , ensuring alignment with system, customer, and regulatory needs
- Drive system-level design decisions , addressing complex challenges such as thermal management, EMI/EMC, functional safety, and high-reliability operation
- Conduct hardware and system design reviews with a strong focus on integration, scalability, reuse strategy, DFX considerations, and computing architecture development
- Own and ensure execution of development and verification plans , including electrical, functional, and environmental compliance per DO-160 standards
