About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Teradata Engineer with strong expertise in database engineering, administration, and optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Teradata SQL, UNIX shell scripting, system performance tuning, and advanced database administration. This role requires working with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable enterprise data solutions.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain Teradata data warehouse solutions aligned with business requirements
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries involving joins, subqueries, and window functions
- Identify and manage indexing strategies, partitioning, and statistics management to ensure query efficiency
- Develop, automate, and maintain ETL workflows and scripts using Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, FastExport)
- Build and maintain UNIX shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency
