About the role
The Technical Author will manage, plan and co-ordinate all aspects of the technical manual writing activities in order to produce installation, requirements and targets of the business. The Technical Author will be responsible for the training of Technical Administrators in the correct compilation of Technical Manuals.
What you'll do
- Provide technical writing support to engineering teams in a cost-effective, functional and reliable manner aligned with industry standards
- Produce IOM manuals from technical documentation and research for company equipment
- Plan and prioritize manual workload, estimate hours for specific tasks, fulfil contractual requirements and report progress
- Create, store and maintain reusable standard documents for modular compilation of manuals across standard equipment
- Maintain communication with design teams to incorporate changes and improvements into the standards library
