Principal Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to lead the architecture, development, and integration of embedded platforms spanning MCU firmware, RTOS, embedded Linux, platform-management protocols, and hardware-backed security. This role combines system-level technical ownership with hands-on development and debugging.

What you'll do

• Own the software architecture and technical direction for embedded platforms
• Analyze hardware and requirements documentation, and translate system requirements into software architecture, component boundaries, interface definitions
• Identify technical risks early and use prototypes to evaluate uncertain design decisions
• Architect firmware, drivers, subsystems (e.g., security), middleware, and applications while ensuring effective hardware-software integration
• Remain hands-on with critical development activities
