About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated System Performance Engineer to drive end-to-end performance characterization, and optimization of Ethernet processing solutions across hardware, firmware, software, and system-level architectures. The role requires expertise in Ethernet networking, packet processing, performance benchmarking, and root-cause analysis to ensure industry-leading throughput, latency, and scalability.
What you'll do
- Define and execute performance validation strategies for Ethernet hardware and software subsystems
- Analyze packet processing pipelines and identify performance bottlenecks in hardware, drivers, and software stacks
- Develop methodologies to optimize Ethernet datapath performance across varying traffic patterns and workloads
- Evaluate performance of Ethernet MAC, PHY, switch, NIC, and packet processing hardware
- Analyze bus utilization, DMA performance, memory bandwidth, cache efficiency, and hardware acceleration engines
