About the role
As a Senior engineer, you'll operate as a technical leader — setting the direction for how we build event-driven, real-time data services at scale, mentoring engineers across teams, and partnering with data architects and senior leadership to shape our technology roadmap. You'll be hands-on with core technologies like Kubernetes, Kafka, DynamoDB, and S3, while driving engineering excellence across testing, CI/CD, performance, and reliability practices.
What you'll do
- Develop web services that make big data available in real-time for in-product applications
- Work with data architects to ensure that Event Driven solutions are aligned with company-wide technology directions
- Lead fast moving development teams using agile methodologies
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices for unit testing, CI/CD, performance testing, capacity planning, documentation, monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Communicate progress across organizations and levels from individual contributor to senior executive
