Geologist

About the role

The role will support the bp shareholder team based in Mumbai, India, working closely with bp’s key JV operating partner Reliance Industries Ltd. This role will focus on progressing the development hopper in a mature asset and progress development of a new asset.

What you'll do

• Apply strong expertise in subsurface description and reservoir management, evaluating connected GIIP, and integrating static and dynamic data
• Support geoscience delivery into Area Development Plan, fully integrating Operations, Risk, Surveillance, Resource Progression, and Technology to improve asset value
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of bp and RIL to support and assure development strategies and reservoir management plans
• Work closely and regularly collocate with operator’s technical teams on a weekly basis
• Perform reservoir geological characterization, ensuring robust integration into reservoir models to underpin reliable short- and long-term production forecasts
