About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development of Dapr, a graduated Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) open-source project powering distributed, cloud-native applications. As part of the Runtime team, you will design, build, and maintain features that support reliable application execution across cloud and on-premises environments.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and deliver features for the Dapr runtime, taking projects from initial proposals through implementation and release
- Review pull requests submitted by internal engineers and open-source contributors, ensuring high standards of correctness, testing, and API design
- Investigate and resolve complex distributed systems issues, including race conditions, retries, partial failures, and state persistence during crashes
- Write technical proposals and design documentation in the open, and actively participate in community review discussions
- Contribute to Dapr release processes, including release candidates, patch releases, and security fixes
