SUPPORT COUNSELLOR

About the role

As a Support Counsellor, your primary role is to provide emotional support, guidance, and counselling services to individuals facing various personal, psychological, and emotional challenges. You will work closely with clients to help them develop coping strategies, make positive changes in their lives, and improve their overall well-being.

What you'll do

• Listen attentively, provide empathy, and offer guidance and practical advice
• Help them explore their emotions and provide reassurance and comfort during challenging times
• Provide crisis intervention techniques, including active listening, de-escalation strategies, and referral to appropriate resources when necessary
• Offer resources, tools, and techniques to help clients manage their emotions, improve their mental well-being, and enhance their overall resilience
• Make referrals and coordinate care when specialized services are required
