About the role
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for total engineering work and is responsible for the coordination of the designated project engineering work. The Mechanical Engineer is to assume the role of engineering interface with the inter-departmental team and Product Design Manager (PDM) or Head of Engineering with full responsibility for engineering deliverables and for the technical accuracy of the work.
What you'll do
- Ensure adherence to the approved and agreed budgeted estimate
- Attend the KOM, highlight any missing information or ambiguous issues to execute the project
- Create the VMDL, develop deliverable dates and status/es and ensure that all the documentation associated with the project is completed and stored in the job repository
- Prepare design plans, estimation sheets, BOMs, MTOs, detailed drawings, erection drawings, assemblies and layouts, technical reports, TDS, TPS, O&M and close out reports
