About the role
The Physician Assistant will assess and document patients' vitals and history, assist consultants during clinical rounds by conveying and tracking medical orders, and coordinate patient discharge as directed by the consultant.
What you'll do
- Perform initial patient assessment on admission, record vitals, and communicate findings to the Admitting Physician
- Attend clinical rounds with Admitting/Referring Consultants, accurately document orders in doctor's notes and treatment sheets
- Monitor patient progress, update case sheets, and maintain accurate medical records
- Coordinate diagnostic tests, review reports, and communicate relevant findings to consultants
- Provide patient education and counseling as guided by the consultant
