About the role
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems for solar power projects. This includes solar power plant layouts, substations, transmission lines, and associated electrical infrastructure. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution while maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
What you'll do
- Develop electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), load flow studies, and detailed design drawings
- Perform cable sizing, earthing system design, and transformer selection
- Prepare and review technical specifications, BOQs, and design calculations
- Ensure compliance with national and international electrical standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE)
- Provide on-site technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
