About the role
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, planning, execution, and oversight of mechanical systems in large-scale solar power projects. This role includes leading engineering activities related to mounting structures, module layout, trackers, and balance of system (BoS) components, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with technical, quality, and safety standards.
What you'll do
- Lead and review the mechanical design of utility-scale solar PV systems including module mounting structures (fixed tilt and trackers), foundations, and cable trenches
- Conduct site assessments and provide technical inputs for project planning and feasibility studies
- Evaluate and approve mechanical drawings, specifications, and BOQs from design teams and contractors
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical components at project sites
- Coordinate with structural consultants, civil, and electrical engineering teams to ensure design compatibility
