About the role
The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures at the solar project site. The role involves identifying potential hazards, conducting safety audits, training workers, and ensuring compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
What you'll do
- Monitor and enforce HSE policies and procedures on the solar project site
- Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses (JSA) for site activities
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company safety requirements (e.g., Factories Act, Electricity Act, ISO 45001, etc.)
- Inspect site equipment, machinery, scaffolding, and electrical systems for potential hazards
- Provide regular safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions to site workers and staff
