About the role
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation supervision, commissioning, and quality control of electrical systems for large-scale ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. The role involves ensuring the project is executed as per technical standards, safety norms, and timelines.
What you'll do
- Prepare and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable layouts, earthing layouts, and electrical system design for solar PV plants
- Select and specify electrical components like inverters, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and cables
- Conduct load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards (like IEC, IS), and utility requirements
- Prepare technical specifications for procurement of electrical equipment
