About the role
To lead and execute electrical power system design activities for shipbuilding projects, ensuring technically sound, reliable and efficient electrical systems in compliance with applicable marine standards, classification society rules, statutory requirements and project specifications.
What you'll do
- Develop electrical power system designs for shipbuilding projects
- Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical load lists, power balance calculations and electrical distribution philosophies
- Carry out electrical load estimation, power generation and distribution studies, equipment sizing and system design calculations
- Develop electrical system architecture covering power generation, distribution, emergency power supply and essential services
- Prepare technical specifications, equipment datasheets, design calculations and electrical engineering documents
