US Healthcare Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the finance team at Behavioral Health Services. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, supporting month-end close activities, and serving as a key finance partner to other departments.

What you'll do

• Ensure invoices are accurately recorded, properly approved, and paid on time in accordance with company policies and vendor terms
• Maintain vendor records, respond to vendor inquiries, and resolve payment discrepancies
• Record and reconcile company credit card expenses, ensuring transactions are properly coded and supported
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
• Prepare flux analysis, investigating and explaining significant variances
