About the role
The Engineer – Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of construction and engineering projects from pre-construction through project completion. The role involves quantity measurement, cost estimation, tender management, budget monitoring, valuation of completed work, contract administration, and commercial reporting.
What you'll do
- Quantity Surveying and Cost Management
- Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and other project documents to prepare accurate quantity take-offs and bills of quantities
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, rate analyses, cost plans, and financial projections for construction and engineering works
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and identify cost variances at an early stage
- Maintain up-to-date records of committed costs, actual costs, forecast costs, and projected final accounts
