Senior Trader -Sugar (South Asia)

About the role

Reporting to regional (Sugar platform) management in Singapore, the incumbent will Lead and grow LDC's sugar business across South Asia (India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh) delivering profitable growth and commercial objectives.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute trading, origination, and customer engagement strategies aligned with regional objectives
• Lead physical trading activities across raw, white, and refined sugar markets within approved risk parameters
• Build and maintain relationships with sugar mills, refiners, traders, industrial consumers, financial institutions, and government stakeholders
• Develop and expand bonded warehouse operations in the region to enhance regional trade flows and strengthen LDC's market position in South Asia
• Monitor market fundamentals, trade flows, government policies, ethanol programmes, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and risks
