About the role
The role provides production and development support for database applications, establishes build and operational standards, and acts as a technical escalation point for complex database issues. You will help design, deploy, migrate and operate Oracle and SQL database environments on Microsoft Azure.
What you'll do
- Help design, deploy, migrate and operate Oracle and SQL database environments on Microsoft Azure
- Combine deep database engineering expertise with automation, cloud and site reliability practices
- Develop and maintain database build standards covering security, patching, resilience and high availability
- Provide database design support to development projects and help define scalable database architectures
- Design backup and recovery, clustering, data management and disaster recovery strategies
