About the role
The Senior DBRE position is part of a central Database Systems Engineering team supporting data services and platforms across Enterprise Technologies, multiple business segments and global development teams. The role focuses on the design, support and optimization of on-premise and cloud-based database platforms that enable critical business and operational processes.
What you'll do
- Architect, manage, and optimize enterprise Microsoft SQL Server database platforms across on-premise and cloud environments
- Lead database performance tuning, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies across on-premise and cloud environments
- Plan, implement, and monitor backup and recovery procedures for SQL Server databases
- Perform database capacity planning and work closely with infrastructure teams to forecast and provision resources
- Act as a database technology Subject Matter Expert (SME), partnering with technology stakeholders and clients to resolve issues and recommend platform improvements
