About the role
Develop new parts using the APQP process and apply techno-commercial knowledge. Support R&D and suppliers with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analysis, providing technical inputs to resolve concerns during product and process development.
What you'll do
- Support R&D and suppliers with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analysis
- Plan processes (process flow design, PFMEA, manufacturing line layout) and quality (DVP, PV, MSA, SPC, PPM, warranty sign-off, safe launch plan, inspection agreement
- Identify required fixtures, tooling, and gauges to meet design and quality requirements
- Establish and validate tools, fixtures, and manufacturing processes. Conduct supplier audits, production trial runs
- Ensure new part development meets project quality targets and milestones and approve PPAP parts that meet all design, quality, and capacity requirements
