About the role
The Lead Engineer will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, and execution of automotive exterior trim systems throughout the product development lifecycle. The role requires strong technical expertise in plastic component design, project management, cross-functional coordination, supplier interaction, and vehicle program delivery.
What you'll do
- Responsible for the engineering, design, development, and execution of automotive exterior trim systems throughout the product development lifecycle
- Develop engineering proposals and technical solutions in collaboration with the Center of Excellence (CoE), cross-functional teams, and supplier experts
- Ensure timely release of engineering drawings, CAD models, and associated documentation with required quality checks
- Plan, monitor, and execute project activities to meet cost, quality, and timeline targets
- Organize and lead technical reviews with cross-functional teams, system leads, suppliers, and CoE representatives
