About the role
MSIL is looking for a QA Automation Engineer with 3-5 years of experience who is equally comfortable with manual/functional testing and automation. The role requires a clear, hands-on understanding of core manual testing concepts (test case design, functional and regression testing, exploratory and UAT testing) along with the ability to build and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and database validation.
What you'll do
- Analyse business and functional requirements to prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and requirement traceability matrices
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, system, and UAT-support testing across web and API applications
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks (Page Object Model, Hybrid, Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, BDD/Cucumber) for UI, API, and integration testing
- Automate web UI test cases using Playwright and/or Selenium WebDriver
- Build API automation using REST Assured, Postman, or Python-based frameworks
