About the role
The Principal Project Engineer is responsible for interpreting internal or external business issues and recommending best practices. They will be tasked with solving complex project engineering-related problems and will work independently with minimal guidance. The Principal Project Engineer may be responsible for leading functional teams or projects and is regarded as a specialist in the field of project engineering.
What you'll do
- Establish and implement project procedures to ensure deliverables meet quality and technical content requirements in accordance with contract documents
- Manage the technical execution to support the business considerations established for the project
- May be responsible for a Unit/Area, a specific function, or may be assigned the Project Engineering Manager role depending upon the size and complexity of the project
- Regularly requested to support the preparation of proposals for prospective projects
- May be assigned as the Project Engineering Manager (PEM) for smaller or medium size EPC projects
