What you'll do
- Own the platform roadmap for database provisioning, scaling, upgrades, client side interaction with DBs, observability
- Drive the shift from manual operations to self-service and intent-based workflows
- Partner with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into platform capabilities
- Ensure high standards of reliability, availability, security, and performance across database systems
- Establish strong engineering practices around design reviews, code quality, and operational excellence
