About the role
Fire Engineer primarily with transportation and commercial buildings experience should have capability delivering technical guidance for fire modelling, code guidance reviews and innovative performance–based design solutions; to improve life safety, allow greater architectural flexibility, support safety case designs, maintaining sustainable designs with cost effective resolutions.
What you'll do
- Support developing overall project fire strategy
- Fire safety planning for flammable products handling facilities
- Design fire protection systems, including fire sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and smoke control systems
- Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare system layouts
- Should be well versed with relevant NFPA and BS-EN standards e.g. NFPA 130/502//92/204, BS-EN 476/12101/7974/45545/1366/1363, CIBSE TM-19 etc
