About the role
The APAC Data Network Engineering Lead is accountable for leading the engineering function to design, build, automate, secure, modernise, and continuously improve the Bank's APAC data network. This combined technical and people leadership role leads and develops the regional engineering team while retaining strong hands-on technical ownership across data centre, campus, WAN, wireless, Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN, and network automation domains.
What you'll do
- Team Leadership and Engineering Excellence
- Lead, coach, and develop the APAC network engineering team, building technical depth, accountability, delivery discipline, and succession capability
- Set technical direction and maintain a high engineering standard across architecture, design quality, automation, documentation, testing, and execution
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex engineering issues and critical incidents, providing decisive direction and hands-on support where required
