About the role
The Linux & Platform Engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing enterprise Unix/Linux infrastructure supporting mission-critical banking systems. This role combines deep Linux administration expertise with platform engineering, automation, and production operations to ensure high availability, security, and performance across complex environments.
What you'll do
- Lead the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise Linux and Unix platforms, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), AIX, CentOS
- Manage the end-to-end platform lifecycle, including provisioning, patch management, upgrades, performance optimization, kernel tuning
- Design, implement, and support highly available and resilient platform architectures leveraging clustering technologies such as Pacemaker
- Drive platform stability, scalability, and capacity management initiatives to support mission-critical business services and infrastructure growth
- Establish and maintain operational standards, governance controls, and technical documentation across Linux and Unix environments
